Lilydale Youth Hub is an incredible mental health service for young people in the Yarra Ranges.
The Hub was established in 2020 using a $4.1 million grant, over three years, from the previous Coalition government.
During my election campaign, I visited the youth hub and saw firsthand the incredible work they are doing with local young people.
I was proud to commit $3.5 million over three years to the Lilydale Youth Hub at that time.
But with Labor forming government, the future of the hub is now in their hands.
Labor has not provided a cent to keep the hub open, and the Hub now faces the prospect of closure on December 31, 2022.
I have been advocating in Parliament for Lilydale Youth Hub to receive vital funds to keep its doors open and I will continue to amplify the voices of our local young people.
