Hello, I’m Aaron Violi, the Federal Member for Casey.
Casey is more than an electorate. It’s my home, and it means so much to me.
I am a proud third generation resident of Casey, ever since my family migrated from Italy and settled in Silvan in 1953.
My wife Rachel and I both grew up locally and it’s where we are raising our two children.
I’ve spent my whole life living in Casey – I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
I attended Yarra Glen Primary School and Mt Lilydale Mercy College, and my first job was at a Yarra Valley catering company, Prestige Events.
After school I attained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at La Trobe University, and then went on to do a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Deakin University.
Upon graduating in 2007, I began working at local food manufacturer, Yarra Valley Snack Foods. I led the sales team for 7 years before moving on to Mars Australia.
In 2019, I transitioned from the fast-moving consumer goods industry into the digital economy, taking up a role at a tech start-up company.
I am proud to be deeply engaged with the communities of Casey, having played and served on the committees of many local cricket, soccer and football clubs.
I was the Founding Chair of the Lilydale Township Action Group and served as Vice Chair until being elected as the member for Casey.
With deep roots in our community, I am honoured to be your local Federal member and voice in the Australian Parliament.
