Lives are at risk at Killara Road.
Having grown up in Yarra Glen, I’ve seen my fair share of near misses at the intersection of Killara Road and Maroondah Highway in Coldstream.
The Andrews Labor Government have had the $20 million to upgrade Killara Road for four years now. It was handed to them by the former federal Liberal government in 2019.
This road isn’t just travelled by locals, it’s one of the major roads out of eastern Melbourne.
It’s relied on to move freight, and travelled by tourists visiting the Yarra Valley and surrounds.
Enough is enough.
The Andrews Labor Government must get on with the Killara Road upgrade for the safety of our community. I will continue to hold them to account to deliver these upgrades.
