Crime is on the rise across the Yarra Ranges and Dandenong Ranges, and our towns are feeling the impact.

From Belgrave to Monbulk, Mooroolbark to Mount Evelyn, and beyond, local residents are increasingly worried about their safety.

With a surge in break-ins, thefts, and other crimes, it’s clear that more needs to be done to protect our community.

The Safer Communities Program was designed to help communities like ours by providing much-needed security infrastructure, including CCTV cameras, to deter crime and assist police in catching offenders.

But in a disappointing move, Labor has cut this crucial program, leaving our neighbourhoods exposed.

Reinstating the Safer Communities Program to ensure ongoing support for crime prevention across our communities.
