An elected Liberal Government will deliver a new Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Healesville to improve access to healthcare for the wider Yarra Ranges community.
This important commitment to deliver better access to much needed urgent primary healthcare was announced by Liberal Member for Casey, Aaron Violi MP.
“The electorate of Casey spans almost 2,700 sqkm but doesn’t have a single emergency department within its boundaries.
“I’ve been advocating for a Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in the Yarra Ranges, because residents in our community need and deserve access to healthcare that is close to home and doesn’t break the bank,” said Mr Violi.
“We know that it has never been harder and more expensive to see a GP under Labor. In our community, bulk billing has plummeted from 84.3% in the Yarra Ranges in 2019 under the former Liberal Government to just to 73.2% three years later under Labor.
“I’m fighting to deliver this new clinic for people living in the rural areas of Casey, whether it’s Healesville, Yarra Junction and the Upper Yarra, Yarra Glen, Dixon’s Creek, Lilydale or surrounds. Everyone needs and deserves access to timely and affordable healthcare, regardless of postcode,” Mr Violi said.
Only the Liberals have a plan to improve access to healthcare and get Australia back on track.
