An elected Liberal Government will invest $365,000 towards a lighting upgrade at Monbulk Regional Soccer Centre to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for local players.
Liberal Member for Casey, Aaron Violi, said Monbulk Regional Soccer Centre is one of the key sporting precincts in our community, attracting players from all over the Hills and Yarra Valley.
“I am proud to have committed $365,000 towards upgrading the lighting at the centre from the current halogen system to energy-saving LED lights,” Mr Violi said.
“Upgrading the lights on the soccer pitches will ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for local soccer players and residents who use the pitches, while also reducing energy consumption to save costs and cut emissions.
Secretary of Monbulk Rangers Soccer Club, Kate Hannan, welcomed the announcement and said lighting at the club had been a long-standing issue.
