An elected Liberal Government will deliver $5 million to help upgrade the pavilion at Lilydale, to support current and future generations to get involved in sport and ensure the broader community can benefit from modern facilities.
Aaron Violi, Liberal Member for Casey, has been fighting for this investment to improve community sports infrastructure and give Lilydale a community hub.
“I’ve heard from locals, community groups and Lilydale sporting clubs that Lilydale needs a place for community to come together. Lilydale clubs have seen exciting growth in women’s sport, but their facilities are holding them back. This investment will help deliver a community hub and support both current and future generations to get involved in local sport, Aaron Violi said.
The Liberals will also deliver $250,000 towards temporary toilets and change rooms so that all players – particularly women and girls – have the facilities they need whilst the work for a new pavilion is underway.
What this means for Casey:✅ A community hub in Lilydale for all locals to enjoy
✅ More inclusive and accessible facilities for local sports
✅ Stronger community connections through sport, health, and well-being
This project is part of the Liberals plan to build stronger communities and get Australia back on track.
